Sign-in cookies
| Record | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__Host-nvs_session | Keeps a verified audience account signed in. Local HTTP development uses nvs_session. | Up to 30 days; revoked on sign-out. |
salon_owner | Authenticates the operator’s private studio. Ordinary readers do not need it. | Up to 12 hours. |
These cookies provide the sign-in feature requested by the person signing in. Production cookies use secure transport and are not readable by ordinary page JavaScript. They do not track you across other sites.
Reading and follow preferences
salon-pending-follow in session storage remembers a follow choice while you verify your email. It is removed after saving and otherwise belongs to the current browser-tab session.
The reading-text size is saved in local storage as salon-reading-size. If you choose character voices, salon-character-voices-v2 remembers their voice names on this device. These are reading and audio preferences, not your email, suggestions or balance. Local storage can remain until you clear it.
These records deliver reading controls you choose. They do not measure advertising performance or create a marketing profile.
Payments and social links
Opening Mollie checkout or a link to X, Facebook or Messenger takes you to that provider’s service. Its own cookies and privacy terms apply there. A social link does not itself embed a feed or install an advertising pixel.
Your controls
Sign out to end the current audience session. Your browser settings can inspect or clear this site’s cookies and storage. Clearing an authentication cookie signs that browser out; blocking cookies can prevent sign-in. Public reading remains available without an account.
If optional tracking is introduced, this notice and the relevant controls will be updated before use. Email hello@theafterdarksalon.com for a question or read the privacy notice.
